Benefit for Jonathan Paul - Portland, Oregon, April 26, at the Red & Black Cafe
Tables/hangout at 6pm | Speakers at 7pm | Music around 8pm

This event will feature an informative talk by Lauren Regan of the Civil Liberties Defense Center, highlighting Jonathan Paul's case within the context of the government's "green scare" crackdown on activists. There will be a slideshow about Jonathan, local environmental and animal activist groups will be tabling, and an amazing old-time music duo will wash away our woes at the end of the night. To learn more about Jonathan's case, see www.supportjonathan.org For venue info see www.redandblackcafe.com

For those who cannot attend, now would be a great time to write to Jonathan. Mail has been slow the past couple of months and he would love to get some letters of support. This month marks his 6th month of his 51 month sentence. Jonathan is doing as well as can be expected but we need to continue to show him that we are out here supporting him. Because of the distance from home, he doesn't get regular visits. Any help with funds for his commissary and legal fees for his appeal would be really appreciated.
