JURY RESISTORS
Jordan Halliday
Utah animal rights activist Jordan Halliday
was charged with felony contempt of court
for refusing to testify before a grand jury.
This charge carries no maximum penalty. On
July 27, 2010, Jordan plead guilty to one
count of felony contempt. On November 3, 2010,
he received a sentence of 10 months in prison.
Jordan filed an appeal with the 10th Circuit
Court which was denied. He is currently out
of prison, awaiting designation to a facility
from the BOP.

Carrie Feldman *Released*
Subpoenaed to a federal grand jury Iowa on
Oct.15. After issuing a statement explaining
that she would not testify, Carrie was ordered
to reappear before the grand jury on Nov.
17.
Carrie
refused and was arrested. She *was* being
held in contempt of court.

AETA 4. Nathan
Pope, Adriana Stumpo, Joseph Buddenberg and
Maryam Khajavi. All arrested and charged with
violating the Animal Enterprise Terrorism
Act. They were facing a maximum of ten years
in prison for their alleged crimes, which
include attending demonstrations and other
First-Amendment protected activity.
The court recently granted a motion to dismiss
the indictment. It remains to be seen whether
or not the government will issue a new indictment.

Kevin Olliff *Released*
Animal rights activist accused of 10 felony
counts related to anti-vivisection protest
activity. These felonies are multiple counts
of stalking, conspiracy, conspiracy to stalk,
and threatening of a public servant. Kevin
signed a non-cooperation plea agreement and
was recently released after spending over
a year and half in jail. Kevin was released
from custody in November 2011.

and use of an "unregistered destructive
device" in 2006 for his alleged participation
in an arson at the University of Washington
and an arson at the Litchfield Wild Horse and
Burro Corral in Susanville, CA. On December
20, 2011, he plead guilty to a single count
of conspiracy and a single count of arson for
the arson at UW. He now faces up to 25 years
in prison. Justin's sentencing is currently
set for March 16, 2012.

Missouri who has been sentenced to life. Before
going to prison, Fran was a dedicated animal
rights and environmental activist. After a man
who was stalking her threatened to kill her
and then broke into her house, Fran shot and
killed him. Fran had taken on the prosecutor
during her activism, and he used this as an
opportunity to remove a threat to his power.
